The Discovery Festival
John and Mummy watching the Parade down Charlottle St.

Bob on the Council Float with some of the Billy Carts which we watched race down the hill later in the day.
One of the local's dressed in period costume for the Festival.
John and Daddy at the "Burial of the Chinese Miner" which John and Bev had helped organise over the past couple of years. He is representing all the Chinese Miners who are 'buried' in the old gold fields around the region.
Back at Nanna and Pop's Place

John really likes Daddy's dog Filo...
Patting nicely while Uncle Jim (Bev's unofficial brother) watches carefully.
Filo is pretty good with John
- even if he doesn't quite know that 'gentle' doens't mean using Filo's fur to help him stand up!
Now, time for drink ...
Where do I go to get one?
Pop and Daddy like it....
Uncle Jim, are you going to share?
Ooh I got one!
See I can join in now!
Just one of the Shay boys!
The following Day we saw the moon-rise over the hill
...then came the beautiful sunset over Endeavour River
Just Beautiful!
